The Ram 1500 Rumble Bee is making a strong case for the return of the street truck, with dealers expressing confidence that buyers will pay premium prices for the performance-focused pickup. The new model starts at $62,790, including shipping, and offers multiple V8-powered configurations.
Dealers See Strong Demand for the Rumble Bee
With off-roading increasingly popular and street trucks having been nearly nonexistent in recent years, the Ram 1500 Rumble Bee could have been viewed as a cautious attempt to test the market. Dealers, however, appear far more confident about its prospects.
According to Automotive News, Ram dealers believe buyers will pay premium prices for the new street truck. In simple terms, a street truck is similar to a muscle car with a truck bed.
The Rumble Bee is a lower, wider and shorter version of the 1500. The base model starts at $62,790, including shipping, and is powered by a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 producing 395 horsepower.
Sean Hogan, chairman of the Stellantis dealer council, said, “I think it’s going to draw in a whole new set of buyers that would not normally be shopping for a pickup.”
In Florida, Daytona Dodge-Chrysler-Jeep-Ram owner Randy Dye said several customers had already asked to be placed at the “top of the list” for an allocation.
Rumble Bee Offers Multiple Performance Levels
The entry-level 1500 Rumble Bee is expected to be the volume seller. Above it sits the 392, which uses a 6.4-liter Hemi producing 470 horsepower and carries a $72,790 price tag.
The 392 Track Pack costs $82,790, while the flagship Rumble Bee SRT uses a supercharged 6.2-liter Hemi V8 producing 777 horsepower. The top model is priced at $97,790.
Josh Towbin, owner of Towbin Dodge-Ram near Las Vegas, said the pricing “has been well-received among dealers.”
If the Rumble Bee gains traction, its reception could encourage other automakers to enter the street-truck market. Ford already offers the F-150 Lobo for about $3,000 less than the entry-level Rumble Bee, although it remains closer to a traditional pickup than a dedicated street truck.
Rumble Bee Deliveries Begin in Late 2026
Ram will begin deliveries of the base 1500 Rumble Bee in late 2026. The 392 and SRT models are scheduled to follow during the first half of 2027.
Buyers seeking additional performance will also have access to Direct Connection, Stellantis’ factory-backed performance-parts program. Supercharger kits costing $10,995 before installation can push output beyond 600 horsepower in the base model, beyond 700 horsepower in the 392 and 392 Track Pack, and beyond 900 horsepower in the SRT.
With dealers reporting early customer interest and multiple performance levels planned, the Ram 1500 Rumble Bee is positioned to make its return to the street-truck segment with a range of powerful V8 options.
