Lucid has unveiled the Gravity GT-S, a high-performance electric SUV that combines seating for up to seven people with 1,070 horsepower and supercar-like acceleration. Inspired by the Air Sapphire sedan, the Gravity GT-S can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.1 seconds.

The new model arrives during Monterey Car Week as Lucid’s quickest SUV yet. Its performance puts it ahead of traditional three-row performance SUVs in straight-line acceleration while offering significantly more seating capacity than many high-performance electric vehicles.

Lucid Gravity GT-S Packs 1,070 Horsepower

The Gravity GT-S delivers 1,070 horsepower, giving the seven-seat SUV more power than the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1. Its 3.1-second 0-60 mph time also makes it considerably quicker than the Cadillac Escalade-V.

Lucid has gone beyond simply adding more powerful motors. The GT-S comes standard with a Dynamic Handling Package, independent rear-wheel steering and an adaptive three-chamber air suspension. The suspension can lower the SUV at higher speeds to improve aerodynamic efficiency.

Performance Meets Three-Row Practicality

The Gravity GT-S is designed to retain the space and versatility of the standard Gravity while adding substantially greater performance. It can seat up to seven people, making its combination of acceleration and passenger capacity unusual in the SUV market.

Its projected range is 373 miles on a full charge, despite the vehicle’s extreme performance specifications.

Exclusive GT-S Design Details

Lucid gives the GT-S several exterior and interior details intended to distinguish it from other Gravity models. Blue exterior accents and blue brake calipers highlight the performance version.

Inside, the SUV features a Mojave PurLuxe Premium interior with blue stitching and piping, blue seatbelts and a Lucid Bear logo embossed on the front headrests.

Standard equipment includes a 22-speaker spatial audio system, Lucid’s Glass Canopy Roof, four-zone climate control and heated seats for the first two rows.

Gravity GT-S Starts at $125,900

The Lucid Gravity GT-S starts at $125,900 before options, with orders now open and deliveries scheduled to begin in the fourth quarter of 2026.

One of its closest competitors is the Cadillac Escalade IQ, which starts at $127,405. The Cadillac offers luxury and a longer range but takes 4.7 seconds to reach 60 mph, making it significantly slower than the Lucid.

The Porsche Cayenne Turbo Electric is even quicker, reaching 60 mph in 2.4 seconds, but it seats only five people and starts at $163,000.

The gasoline-powered Cadillac Escalade-V also offers extreme performance, but it is slower to 60 mph and costs $42,100 more than the Gravity GT-S.

Lucid Pushes the Limits of the Performance EV

There is little practical need for a seven-seat SUV with more than 1,000 horsepower, particularly when the standard Gravity Touring offers 560 horsepower and starts at less than $80,000. The GT-S instead targets buyers looking for maximum performance from a vehicle that retains the comfort, space and versatility of a three-row SUV.

Alongside the Air Sapphire sedan, the Gravity GT-S strengthens Lucid’s position as a performance benchmark in the electric-vehicle market rather than focusing solely on range.
