Ram has opened orders for the first version of its new 1500 Rumble Bee street truck, bringing a 395-horsepower Hemi V8, widebody styling and performance-focused hardware to the 2027 model year. The Rumble Bee is part of a growing resurgence of street-focused pickups, following Ford’s F-150 Lobo and Ram’s earlier reveal of its V8-powered Rumble Bee lineup.
Base Rumble Bee Packs a 5.7-Liter Hemi V8
The entry-level 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee is powered by a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 producing 395 horsepower and 410 pound-feet of torque.
Ram has given the truck proportions designed to emphasize its street performance. The Rumble Bee is 13 inches shorter than the Ram 1500 Quad Cab, while its ride height is lower and its track width is seven inches wider. Flared fenders complete the widebody look.
According to Ram, the Rumble Bee is the only production Quad Cab pickup available with both a short bed and widebody configuration.
Performance Hardware and Customization
The Rumble Bee comes standard with 20-inch wheels, while optional 22-inch wheels will also be available. Buyers can choose from a range of exterior colors and graphics to customize the truck’s appearance.
Underneath, the Rumble Bee features a full-time active four-wheel-drive system along with a selectable rear-wheel-drive mode and Bilstein monotube performance shocks.
The truck can tow up to 8,890 pounds, adding conventional pickup capability to its street-oriented design.
Ram CEO Matt Van Dyke said the Rumble Bee combines the practicality of a pickup with the appeal of American muscle while creating a new subsegment within the truck market.
2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee Pricing
The 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee equipped with the 5.7-liter Hemi V8 starts at $59,995, before a $2,795 destination charge.
Orders are open now, but customers will have to wait until the fourth quarter for the Rumble Bee to arrive at dealerships.
Supercharger Kit Will Push Output Above 600 HP
Ram’s performance plans for the Rumble Bee extend beyond the standard V8. Direct Connection performance parts will become available shortly after the truck reaches dealerships.
The most significant upgrade is a supercharger kit for the 5.7-liter Hemi V8. Ram says the kit will increase output to more than 600 horsepower, exceeding the 470 horsepower produced by the Rumble Bee 392 Hemi.
The supercharger kit will cost $10,995. Adding it to the base Rumble Bee brings the truck’s price to roughly the same level as the $69,995 Rumble Bee 392 Hemi.
More Performance Upgrades Are Coming
Buyers will also be able to equip the Rumble Bee with a Ridetech suspension kit priced at $4,950, a Magnaflow performance exhaust costing $1,599 and an additional graphics package.
These upgrades give owners multiple ways to further emphasize the Rumble Bee’s street-focused character.
Ram Bets on the Return of the Street Truck
The Rumble Bee arrives as the full-size pickup market sees renewed interest in street-oriented trucks after years of increasingly off-road-focused models.
While many pickups are equipped for trails and rugged terrain, most owners spend much of their time on regular roads. The Rumble Bee is designed around that reality, combining a performance-focused driving experience with the practicality of a pickup bed.
With the Rumble Bee lineup expanding and more powerful versions on the way, Ram is positioning the truck as one of the most comprehensive street-truck offerings in the full-size segment and putting pressure on Ford and Chevrolet to respond.
