Cadillac has unveiled the V-ONE, a one-of-one V-Series concept that brings race-car engineering into a customer-focused performance package. Co-developed by Cadillac Design, Cadillac Racing and chassis constructor Dallara, the V-ONE shares much of its performance architecture with the V-Series.R race car while featuring a more accessible design and a bespoke cockpit.

Cadillac V-ONE Produces 830 Horsepower

The V-ONE is powered by a hybrid V8 powertrain producing a combined 830 horsepower, roughly twice the output of a V8 Escalade.

The concept also shares major suspension components with the V-Series.R, including a double-wishbone design, pushrod-actuated coil and torsion spring elements, along with lateral and heave dampers at the front and rear.

The V-ONE’s performance foundations are closely connected to the V-Series.R, which arrived in 2023. Since then, Cadillac Racing has recorded 10 wins, 16 pole positions and 32 podiums across combined events in the IMSA WeatherTech Championship and the FIA World Endurance Championship.

“The Cadillac V-ONE Concept is the ultimate manifestation of a customer performance concept and is a clear sign of our ambition for the Cadillac V-Series brand in the future,” said Dominic Najafi, Executive Design Director, Global Cadillac.

Race-Car Styling With a Bespoke Cockpit

The V-ONE’s exterior takes strong inspiration from the V-Series.R race car while incorporating several unique design elements. These include a new V-Series wheel design and dark-persona V-Series badging.

Cadillac also created a hand-sprayed paint gradient transitioning from silver to deep navy, designed to represent the changing lighting conditions from day to night during an endurance race.

Inside, the V-ONE has space for only the driver. The cockpit features an exposed carbon structure, a custom UX/UI, a race-car steering wheel and a customized driver’s seat, along with strategically used recycled fabrics.

A data visualization system provides detailed feedback and coaching to help drivers understand the car’s performance potential.

V-ONE Offers a More Accessible Race-Car Experience

The concept’s purpose is to package competition hardware in a form that is more accessible to customers. Cadillac describes the V-ONE as a glimpse into the future direction of the V-Series performance brand.

The one-of-one concept also demonstrates a potential path toward track-only race cars designed for a small group of customers. While the V-ONE remains a concept, its development could help establish a foundation for future track-focused performance programs.

Lessons learned from developing such vehicles can also find their way into street-legal performance cars.

Cadillac V-ONE Debuts in California

For now, the V-ONE remains a display vehicle rather than something customers can drive. Visitors at The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering in California, will have an opportunity to see the one-of-one concept on August 14.
