Porsche is celebrating the Nürburgring’s 100th anniversary in 2027 with a limited-production 911 GT3 featuring distinctive Green Hell-inspired styling and exclusive track-themed details.
A Tribute to the Green Hell
The Porsche 911 GT3 100 Jahre Nürburgring was created to honor the legendary German circuit and Porsche’s long-standing connection with it. The automaker has used the Nürburgring extensively for vehicle development, gathering data for areas including chassis tuning and aerodynamics.
Porsche has also achieved several notable records at the circuit. The 911 GT2 RS equipped with the Manthey Performance Kit recorded a 6:43.300 lap, while the non-production 919 Hybrid Evo holds the outright record with a 5:19.546 time around the 20.8-kilometer track.
Green Hell-Inspired Exterior
The special-edition GT3 uses green exterior accents as a direct reference to the Nürburgring’s famous “Green Hell” nickname. Green wraps on the front and rear also serve as protective films.
Buyers can choose between White and GT Silver Metallic exterior finishes, with the latter inspired by Porsche Cup race cars. The car rides on forged aluminum wheels measuring 20 inches at the front and 21 inches at the rear, finished in high-gloss California Gold.
Track-Themed Interior
The Nürburgring theme continues inside the cabin. Green accents appear across the dashboard, driver’s seat and roll cage, while the door sills feature “Welcome to the Green Hell” lettering.
The cabin also receives three lines of black stitching and one GT Silver line, representing the circuit’s curbs. Additional details include a Nürburgring logo on the driver’s headrest, a “Grüne Hölle” inscription on the mode button and a green push-to-pass button.
502-HP Naturally Aspirated Flat-Six
Porsche has not announced any powertrain changes for the special edition. It is therefore expected to retain the standard 911 GT3’s 4.0-liter naturally aspirated flat-six, producing 502 horsepower and 331 lb-ft of torque.
Customers can choose between a six-speed manual transmission and Porsche’s seven-speed dual-clutch PDK transmission.
A color-matched Manthey kit will also be available as an option. The package includes modified suspension components, optimized braking hardware and an extensive aerodynamic package designed to enhance track performance.
Only 100 Examples Will Be Built
Porsche will produce just 100 examples of the 911 GT3 100 Jahre Nürburgring, all exclusively for the German market. Orders are scheduled to open in September 2026, with deliveries planned for 2027.
Porsche has not announced pricing for the special edition. For comparison, the standard 911 GT3 starts at $235,800 in the United States.
A Century of Nürburgring History
The special-edition GT3 celebrates more than the circuit’s centennial. It also highlights Porsche’s decades-long relationship with the Nürburgring, beginning with the brand’s first competition there with the 550 Spyder in 1953.
More recently, Porsche has continued to establish milestones at the circuit, including the Taycan Turbo GT with the Weissach Package and Manthey Kit, which set a 6:55.533 lap record for electric executive cars.
