The 2027 Toyota Corolla is marking six decades of the nameplate with a limited 60th Anniversary Special Edition for the U.S. market. Limited to 2,500 cars, the special Corolla adds exclusive styling and interior touches, while the broader 2027 lineup receives only minor changes.
Toyota Corolla 60th Anniversary Edition
The Corolla 60th Anniversary Edition is based on the SE Hybrid trim and will be offered in Ice Cap or Supersonic Red. The Supersonic Red paint is exclusive to the anniversary model.
The limited-edition sedan rides on 18-inch machined, black-finished alloy wheels. Toyota also replaces the standard SE badging with 60th Anniversary badges and adds sports seats with black and red inserts.
Additional details include 60th Anniversary door sills and floor mats, along with Toyota’s larger 10.5-inch touchscreen interface. Lower Corolla models use an eight-inch touchscreen.
Toyota is limiting the special edition to 2,500 units in the U.S. The model is scheduled to arrive early in 2027, while pricing will be announced closer to its launch.
2027 Corolla Gets Few Other Changes
Beyond the anniversary model, the 2027 Toyota Corolla sedan lineup receives only one other addition: a new dark exterior color called Inked.
Corolla sales have increased by almost 10% in 2026 so far, while Toyota has sold more than 130,000 Corollas in the U.S. during the year.
2027 Toyota Corolla Pricing
The 2027 Corolla starts at $23,325, which is $200 more than the 2026 model. That keeps the sedan among America’s cheapest new cars and below its main rival, the Honda Civic, which starts at $24,695 for 2026.
The Corolla Hybrid starts at $25,175. At the top of the range, the Hybrid SE with all-wheel drive costs $29,015.
Corolla Engine and Hybrid Powertrains
The 2027 Corolla continues with a 169-horsepower 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine as its standard powertrain.
Hybrid versions use an electrified 1.8-liter powertrain producing 138 horsepower. With front-wheel drive, the hybrid models are capable of 50 mpg combined.
Why the Corolla Still Matters
The current Corolla was unveiled more than eight years ago in New York, but Toyota continues to sell the compact sedan in significant numbers. The model remains focused on reliability, practicality, efficiency and affordability.
With more than 130,000 U.S. sales in 2026 so far, the Corolla continues to hold its place in Toyota’s lineup. The 60th Anniversary Edition adds a limited dose of exclusivity to a model that has remained a major part of the automaker’s U.S. business for six decades.
