Audi Themes is getting a new personalization feature that allows owners to upload their own photos for use in their vehicle displays. The update expands an offering that has grown from fewer than 50 themes at launch to well over 340 today.
Audi Themes Expands Its Catalog
Audi launched its digital store for infotainment themes in December 2023, giving owners a way to customize their vehicle displays beyond standard color choices. The Audi Themes catalog is available through the MyAudi app and now includes well over 340 curated themes, according to Audi.
The catalog is expected to continue growing as additional content is added throughout the year. Audi has also updated the service this year, with current Audi Themes subscribers receiving the update without having to pay again.
For customers who want to try the service, Audi is offering a $1 seven-day trial. Those who enjoy the trial can switch to an annual subscription priced at $39.99.
Owners Can Now Use Their Own Photos
The latest update adds a new way to personalize the experience. Audi now allows owners to upload their own photos and create Personal Themes through the myAudi app.
On-screen prompts guide owners through the process of creating a Personal Theme. Audi says these creations remain tied to the owner’s app account rather than being added to the entire database.
The Personal Theme will also be removed from the vehicle if the account is disconnected from the vehicle or if the owner no longer wants a Themes account.
Personal Themes Have Storage Limits
Owners can store up to three Personal Themes at a time. If they want to create another one after reaching that limit, they can delete an existing theme to make room for the new creation.
The feature is limited to 2023 model year and newer models equipped with the software needed to support it.
Lighting Can Match Purchased Themes
Audi’s personalization options can extend beyond the infotainment display. Owners with the advanced lighting package can sync the vehicle’s lighting with a purchased theme.
With the addition of personal photo uploads, Audi Themes now gives eligible owners another way to make their vehicle displays more personal while keeping those creations connected to their individual app accounts.
