Jeep has launched a national marketing campaign called “This Is Jeep Country,” putting American landscapes and the brand’s 85-year history at the center of its latest promotional effort. Debuting in September 2026, the campaign traces Jeep’s roots to its initial production era in 1941 while emphasizing resilience, capability and outdoor exploration.
Jeep Puts American Identity at the Center
The multi-channel campaign spans broadcast television, digital streaming platforms, social channels and outdoor advertising. Its advertisements show Jeep vehicles traveling across American terrain, including deserts, mountain ranges and coastal routes.
The campaign is designed to re-engage Jeep’s customer base while creating a unified message across the company’s evolving product lineup.
Jeep Recon Brings Electrification Into the Campaign
The commercials highlight familiar Jeep nameplates including the Wrangler, Gladiator and Grand Cherokee, while also showcasing the brand’s move toward electrification.
The new Jeep Recon is featured prominently as an all-electric SUV navigating off-road trails. Bringing zero-emission vehicles into traditional rugged settings is part of a deliberate strategy to ease loyal enthusiasts into Jeep’s electric transition.
Global Manufacturing Creates a Clear Contrast
The campaign’s strong focus on American identity comes as Stellantis, Jeep’s parent company, expands its global manufacturing strategy. That includes plans to build electric vehicles in China for export.
The global assembly structure creates a contrast between the campaign’s domestic imagery and the company’s international manufacturing operations.
Quality Concerns Remain a Challenge
Jeep also continues to face quality control challenges in the domestic market. The automaker recently issued a major Grand Cherokee recall involving suspension component issues that previous service actions failed to resolve.
Ongoing reliability concerns have affected consumer perception, with the brand ranked among those with the least satisfied owners in recent industry surveys.
Jeep’s Marketing Push Faces Broader Brand Challenges
“This Is Jeep Country” draws on Jeep’s distinct historical brand equity and its 85-year connection to American culture. The campaign reinforces that identity as the automotive industry moves toward electric vehicles, while its visual content communicates the off-road capability associated with the brand.
At the same time, the campaign does not resolve the manufacturing and quality control issues facing Jeep. The brand’s long-term reputation remains tied not only to advertising but also to vehicle reliability and ownership satisfaction at the dealership level.
