The 2027 Lexus IS is adding a new Envious Special Appearance Package as the long-running sports sedan enters another model year. Available on F SPORT Design and F Sport trims, the package combines Envious Green paint with black forged wheels and green-accented interior details.
Envious Green Leads the Lexus IS Updates
The Lexus IS is now 13 years into its current generation, giving the sports sedan a well-refined formula that emphasizes luxury as much as performance. For buyers looking for something different from the usual white or silver luxury sedan, Lexus is offering the new Envious Special Appearance Package.
The automaker has a history of using green for its vehicles, and this package features a color called Envious Green.
The Envious Special Appearance Package is available for the F SPORT Design and F Sport trims, both of which already feature extensive appearance upgrades.
For that reason, the package focuses on exterior paint and wheels, along with what Lexus describes as “distinctive interior accents.”
The 2027 Lexus IS F Sport models equipped with the package receive Envious Green paint and 19-inch black BBS forged alloy wheels. Inside, the black NuLuxe-trimmed seats with Ultrasuede inserts feature green stitching and satin chrome-colored trim.
2027 Lexus IS Pricing and Envious Package Cost
Lexus says the 2027 Lexus IS is expected to arrive at Lexus dealerships later this year. The F SPORT Design starts at $47,545 in Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price, or MSRP.
Lexus has not yet announced pricing for the Envious Special Appearance Package.
The Envious Green color could be comparable in appeal to Lexus’s Nori Green. However, Lexus has not provided details indicating that the new paint uses the same level of technical specialization associated with the Nori Green first seen on the Lexus LS 500 Inspiration Series in 2019.
As a result, the package is expected to carry a reasonable price for an appearance package.
The Lexus IS Continues After Years of Updates
The current Lexus IS generation dates back to 2013. For 2025, the model received its second facelift, while the U.S. lineup was reduced to the F Sport Design and F Sport trims.
The continued updates come as the IS faces newer options from BMW, Mercedes, Audi and Genisis. Despite its age, Lexus continues to refine the sedan rather than make a major change to the formula.
Why Lexus Is Keeping the IS
While other luxury automakers have moved toward smaller turbocharged engines, developed new platforms or discontinued older sedans, Lexus has continued with the IS.
The current generation has been around since 2014 and has gone through three facelifts over the last twelve years. Its age has not prevented Lexus from maintaining the model’s established powertrain and styling.
The 3.5-liter naturally aspirated V6 remains one of the reasons buyers continue to choose the IS. The engine is described as robust and plenty powerful, while updated styling and technology, including a touchscreen infotainment system, help keep the interior feeling modern.
Lexus IS Stays in the Lineup as EV Plans Change
Lexus has continued with the IS because the existing formula remains effective. The automaker also canceled a planned EV sedan to keep the IS around.
The next-generation IS was intended to become a midsize four-door electric sedan based on the LF-ZC concept. Slow EV sales combined with the popularity of the IS resulted in the model carrying on for at least another year.
For 2027, Lexus is therefore continuing the IS with the new Envious Special Appearance Package, giving F SPORT Design and F Sport buyers another exterior and interior customization option.
