New Hyundai Tucson Interior Revealed in Fresh Spy Footage

The next-generation Hyundai Tucson has been spotted again, but this time the biggest reveal is inside the cabin. Fresh spy footage from Korea offers the first detailed look at the SUV’s interior, suggesting Hyundai is making significant changes aimed at creating a more spacious and upscale driving experience.

Spy Footage Highlights a Redesigned Cabin

While the exterior remains heavily covered in camouflage, the interior appears to be much closer to production. Based on the images shown in the video, Hyundai has extensively redesigned the cabin rather than limiting updates to the exterior styling.

The dashboard adopts a cleaner layout, replacing the previous design with a more streamlined appearance. Dominating the cabin is a large landscape-oriented infotainment display positioned prominently on top of the dashboard.

Larger Display Paired With Physical Controls

Despite the larger touchscreen, Hyundai has retained physical controls. Beneath the infotainment display are dedicated buttons and rotary knobs for commonly used functions, matching the company’s earlier commitment made when it introduced Pleos Connect.

The center console continues to feature a traditional gear shifter, two cupholders, a large center armrest, and what appears to be two wireless charging pads at the front. Light-colored upholstery further enhances the cabin’s premium appearance.

Rear Passenger Space Also Appears Improved

The rear seating area also appears to offer increased comfort. The spy footage shows generous legroom along with rear air vents, providing additional convenience for passengers.

Hyundai Tucson Appears Nearly as Wide as a Third-Generation Kia Sorento

The video also showed the new Tucson parked beside a third-generation Kia Sorento, a vehicle that was positioned as a midsize SUV alongside the Hyundai Santa Fe. In comparison, the Tucson appears nearly as wide, highlighting how much compact SUVs have grown in size.

Although the footage does not suggest the Tucson is becoming a midsize SUV, it indicates Hyundai is aiming to provide more interior space without moving the model into a larger segment.

Global Debut Expected Later This Year

The fifth-generation Hyundai Tucson is expected to make its global debut toward the end of the year. Until then, the latest spy footage provides the clearest indication yet of the extensive updates planned for Hyundai’s best-selling SUV, particularly inside the cabin.
