What’s New for the 2027 Jeep Wrangler?

For 2027, the Wrangler focuses on additional standard equipment rather than a major change to its established design. Several trims gain upgraded displays, easier access and additional comfort and driver-assistance features.

Five special editions carry over into the new model year: Moab 392, Willys 392, Whitecap, Rewind and Rockslide.

More Standard Features Across Wrangler Trims

The Sport, Sport S and Willys now come with a standard 7-inch color screen in the gauge cluster. The Sport S and Willys also gain passive entry, allowing drivers to keep the key fob in their pocket when getting into the vehicle.

The four-door Sahara receives the most extensive equipment upgrades. Its new standard features include McKinley-trimmed seats, side steps, a nine-speaker Alpine sound system and built-in navigation.

The Sahara also gains rear park assist, blind-spot monitoring, cross-path detection, an auto-dimming mirror, automatic high beams and a universal garage opener. A front-facing TrailCam is included for off-road driving.

The Rubicon adds heated front seats, a heated steering wheel and built-in navigation as standard equipment. The two-door Willys also gains a vented power dome hood, matching the feature already available on its four-door counterpart.

New Colors Join the 2027 Wrangler Lineup

The 2027 Wrangler lineup introduces new exterior color options, including Ghost, the limited-run Gum 31 and Fathom Blue.

Gobi, Sting Gray and Hella Yella are also planned, although buyers will have to wait longer for those colors to become available.

2027 Jeep Wrangler Engines and Performance

The 2027 Wrangler retains its existing lineup of three gasoline engines, with different powertrains available depending on the trim.

The 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder produces 270 horsepower and 295 pound-feet of torque and is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.

Buyers can also choose the 3.6-liter V6, which delivers 285 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque. This engine remains available with a six-speed manual transmission.

At the top of the range, the 6.4-liter V8 produces 470 horsepower and 470 pound-feet of torque. It is reserved for the four-door Willys 392 and Moab 392, which start at $70,995 and $79,995, respectively.

Off-Road Capability Remains a Key Wrangler Feature

The Wrangler continues to offer several four-wheel-drive systems, including Command-Trac, Rock-Trac and Selec-Trac, depending on the trim.

The vehicle offers a claimed 100:1 crawl ratio, up to 12.9 inches of ground clearance and water-fording capability of up to 34 inches. Properly equipped models can also tow up to 5,000 pounds.

Removable doors, a foldable windshield and the optional Sky One-Touch powertop remain available. These features preserve the Wrangler’s combination of everyday usability and open-air driving for outdoor adventures.

What the 2027 Jeep Wrangler Changes Mean for Buyers

The 2027 Jeep Wrangler brings higher prices across much of the lineup while adding standard features to several trims. The Sahara receives the largest equipment expansion and the biggest price increase, while the Rubicon X and Moab 392 maintain their previous starting prices.

With its existing gasoline engines, multiple four-wheel-drive systems and familiar off-road features intact, the 2027 Wrangler focuses on updated equipment and revised pricing rather than a fundamental change to its established formula.
