The Acura ADX has received a dramatic BMX-inspired makeover through a one-off collaboration between Acura and Vans. Developed with BMX star Coco Zurita, the CZ-77 Concept combines custom exterior modifications, motorsports-inspired interior upgrades and dedicated bike-carrying hardware to bring BMX culture to the luxury crossover.
Unveiled at Vans headquarters in Costa Mesa, California, on October 24, the custom Acura ADX reflects the shared appeal of Acura and Vans among younger, lifestyle-oriented consumers. The project also marks Zurita’s third vehicle collaboration with Acura as the ADX continues to record strong sales growth.
Acura ADX CZ-77 Concept Features Custom BMX Design
The CZ-77 Concept incorporates several modifications designed to reflect tuner culture and BMX aesthetics. Its exterior features 19-inch Rotiform wheels with aerodynamic discs, a custom carbon-fiber aerodynamic body kit and custom fender flares.
A dedicated rear BMX structure provides a place to hold and display a BMX bike, making the bicycle an integral part of the vehicle’s overall design.
Vans North America supplied approximately 90% of the fabric used in the custom build. The extensive use of Vans materials connects the crossover’s design with the brand’s emphasis on individuality and self-expression.
Inside the Custom Acura ADX
The CZ-77 Concept’s cabin features a sport-focused setup that departs from the standard luxury crossover configuration. Interior modifications include Sparco bucket seats, a Sparco steering wheel, an NRG harness bar and design elements created specifically for the CZ-77 project.
The build also eliminates the rear seats, an unusual modification for a luxury crossover. The changes give the vehicle a more specialized layout that reflects its BMX and tuner-inspired design.
Acura ADX Engine and Performance Details
No powertrain changes have been announced for the CZ-77 Concept. The vehicle is expected to retain the standard model’s 1.5-liter turbocharged inline-four engine, which belongs to the same engine family as the one used in the Honda Civic Si.
If the original powertrain remains unchanged, the engine produces 190 horsepower and 179 lb-ft of torque. The standard setup pairs the engine with a continuously variable transmission (CVT), with front-wheel drive (FWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) available.
Coco Zurita’s Third Acura Vehicle Collaboration
The CZ-77 Concept follows two earlier projects involving Acura and Coco Zurita, who has earned several podium finishes at the X Games. Their first collaboration produced a custom 2023 Integra, followed by a custom 2024 TLX Type S unveiled at the 2024 Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach.
Zurita said the latest project allowed him to combine his interests in BMX, design and community through a distinctive vehicle build.
“Working with Acura and Vans gave me a chance to pour my passions for BMX, design and community into a unique ADX build that has a strong attitude and a lot of personality,” Zurita said.
Acura ADX Sales Continue to Grow
The CZ-77 Concept arrives as the Acura ADX records substantial sales growth. The model sold 25,211 units during the first nine months of 2026, representing a 114.5% increase year over year.
Although the ADX only went on sale in March 2025, the collaboration showcases the model through a custom project that combines automotive design with BMX and lifestyle culture.
Will the Acura ADX CZ-77 Concept Go on Sale?
It remains unclear whether the CZ-77 Concept will be preserved or offered at auction. If the heavily modified crossover eventually becomes available for purchase, its extensive customization could command a premium over the standard model.
The regular Acura ADX starts at $35,000 before destination charges and competes in the U.S. market against models such as the BMW X1 and Lexus UX. For now, the CZ-77 Concept remains a one-off collaboration showcasing the Acura crossover through a BMX-inspired design.
