Stellantis is showing signs of financial improvement as it works to strengthen its vehicle lineup, control costs, and adjust production capacity across its global operations.
Five months after outlining plans to expand its product offerings, reduce expenses, and cut European manufacturing capacity by more than 800,000 vehicles annually, the automaker had sold 4.2 million vehicles worldwide across its 14 brands through September.
Stellantis reported a third-quarter 2026 net loss of $506 million, a substantial improvement from the $5 billion loss recorded during the same period in 2025. The company reported a full-year loss of $26.2 billion in 2025.
Stellantis Focuses on Pricing Discipline
A key part of the company’s recovery effort involves maintaining what it describes as positive pricing. This approach means encouraging customers to pay prices that support profitability rather than relying on steep discounts to move vehicles.
Chief Executive Officer Antonio Filosa emphasized the importance of maintaining discipline in net pricing across North America. The strategy is intended to avoid aggressive price cuts while keeping vehicle pricing and financing offers consistent.
Dealer incentives remain substantial as retailers work to clear 2026 inventory. However, positive pricing contributed $470 million to Stellantis’ adjusted operating income in North America during the third quarter.
The company also wants to stabilize positive net pricing in Europe. Filosa said the automaker would continue building on its progress.
New Ram and Jeep Models Lead the Product Push
Stellantis is preparing a series of new vehicles intended to strengthen its brands and expand its presence in key market segments.
The Jeep Recon battery-electric vehicle is scheduled to launch in the United States during the third quarter. Ram is also preparing the Rumble Bee sport pickup, whose initial allocation sold out within 24 hours.
Additional upcoming vehicles include the Ram ProMaster City midsize commercial van and the Jeep Grand Wagoneer extended-range electric SUV. Both are expected to enter U.S. market segments that currently have limited or no direct competition.
Jeep and Dodge Updates Planned for 2027
Jeep is preparing new versions of the Grand Cherokee, Wrangler, and Gladiator for 2027. Dodge is also planning a redesigned Durango, expected to arrive during the second half of that year.
Chrysler is preparing the compact Arrow and Arrow Cross for 2027, with prices expected to start below $29,000.
Ram Pickup Expansion Could Continue in 2028
Stellantis could expand its U.S. pickup lineup further with the midsize Ram Dakota and compact Ram Rampage. Both models are expected to arrive after the initial 2027 launches, potentially in early 2028.
The Ram ProMaster City is also expected to have a relatively clear position in the U.S. midsize van market for at least two or three years, according to Filosa’s market intelligence.
With improving quarterly results, a focus on pricing discipline, and a broad pipeline of new vehicles, Stellantis is working to strengthen its financial performance while expanding its offerings across its major brands.
