A rare Ferrari Daytona SP3 has sold for $18.5 million, showcasing the extraordinary value of the Italian automaker’s limited-production supercars. The 2025 model, finished in a distinctive green paint color and showing just 81 miles, is one of only 600 examples ever built.
Rare Ferrari SP3 Sells for $18.5 Million
The Ferrari SP3, chassis No. 314846, was sold at an auction in Las Vegas. The car belonged to a well-known collector and was associated with the Ferrari of Long Island dealership in New York.
Produced in 2025 as part of Ferrari’s exclusive Icona series, the SP3 has become highly sought after by collectors. Its design pays tribute to historic Ferrari race cars, incorporating the automaker’s signature horizontal slats.
This particular example stands out with its Verde Francesca paint, a lighter shade of green that added $42,185 to the car’s cost.
The exterior also features glossy carbon fiber across the hardtop, lower bodywork trims, front splitter, side sills and trunk lid. Silver-finished wheels paired with gloss-black brake calipers provide another distinctive detail.
Ferrari SP3 Features Exclusive Interior and V12 Power
Inside, the SP3 features a two-tone cabin combining Nero Alcantara upholstery with Mustard Aunde Jeans material on the doors and seats.
Power comes from a naturally aspirated 6.5-liter V12 engine producing 829 horsepower. Derived from the 812 Competizione race car, the engine is described as the most powerful road-going engine Ferrari has ever produced.
With only 81 miles on the odometer, this example has exceptionally low mileage for a limited-production Ferrari.
Historic Daytona Victory Inspired the Ferrari SP3
The SP3 was conceived as a tribute to one of Ferrari’s most successful racing achievements.
In February 1967, Ferrari finished first, second and third at the 24 Hours of Daytona. The 330 P3/P4 and 412P race cars that secured the historic result served as the spiritual inspiration for the SP3.
Despite its $18.5 million auction price, this is not the most expensive SP3 ever sold. In 2025, the one-of-one 600th example of the limited series sold for $26 million.
The latest sale underscores the exceptional appeal of Ferrari’s limited-production Icona models, combining exclusive styling, powerful engineering and a direct connection to the marque’s racing history.
