The 2027 Mazda3 will remain one of the more affordable new cars in the United States, with the compact sedan starting at $24,750 and the hatchback beginning at $27,040. Mazda is keeping price increases modest while revising the lineup with new trim options, expanded connectivity features and additional equipment.
The sedan’s starting price rises by just $100 compared with 2026, while the hatchback lineup drops its entry-level 2.5 S model. The changes also bring new Premium and Premium Plus configurations, including a six-speed manual hatchback aimed at driving enthusiasts.

What’s New for the 2027 Mazda3?
The main updates focus on technology, connectivity and equipment rather than mechanical changes. Mazda is expanding wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto availability, while Alexa Built-In is included on the Select Sport trim.
Wireless phone charging is also added to the Preferred package, giving buyers more convenience without changing the Mazda3’s core powertrain lineup.
Most trims continue to use the naturally aspirated 2.5-liter Skyactiv-G four-cylinder engine, which produces 186 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque. Entry-level configurations pair the engine with a six-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive.
Manual Transmission Returns in the Premium Plus Hatchback
Driving enthusiasts can still choose a six-speed manual transmission, now offered in the Premium Plus Hatchback. The front-wheel-drive model starts at $31,950, while buyers seeking all-wheel drive can select the Premium Plus AWD for $33,350.
The more powerful Turbo Premium Plus remains available for both the sedan and hatchback. Its turbocharged 2.5-liter engine produces up to 250 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque when running on 93-octane fuel.
The Turbo Premium Plus comes exclusively with Mazda’s i-Activ AWD system. Additional equipment includes a 360-degree view monitor, front and rear parking sensors, and enhanced driver-assistance features.
When Will the 2027 Mazda3 Arrive?
Mazda has not announced an official dealership arrival date for the 2027 Mazda3, although the vehicles are expected to arrive in the next few weeks.
Available exterior colors include Machine Gray Metallic, Soul Red Crystal Metallic, Snowflake White Pearl Mica, Polymetal Gray Metallic and Ceramic Metallic. Each premium paint finish carries an additional $595 charge.
Destination charges remain unchanged at $1,315 for most U.S. states. Taxes, title and other applicable fees are additional, while actual transaction prices are determined by individual dealerships.
With modest price increases, a revised trim lineup and expanded technology features, the 2027 Mazda3 continues to offer sedan and hatchback options across a range of budgets, including a manual transmission and available turbocharged performance.
