Ram’s Wild New 1500 Rumble Bee Lineup Aims to Redefine Muscle Trucks With Up to 777 Horsepower

Ram is making a dramatic return to the street truck segment with a bold new strategy that could reshape the modern muscle pickup market. Instead of launching a single high-priced performance model, Ram CEO Tim Kuniskis says the automaker is building an entire family of performance-focused trucks under one name: the 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee.

Leading the charge is the ferocious Rumble Bee SRT, a supercharged V8-powered pickup capable of reaching 60 mph in just 3.4 seconds. But Ram’s bigger goal may be even more ambitious — turning muscle trucks from a niche novelty into a full-scale lineup designed for broader appeal.

Ram 1500 Rumble Bee SRT Delivers 777 Horsepower

At the top of the lineup sits the Ram 1500 Rumble Bee SRT, powered by the same supercharged 6.2-liter Hellcat Hemi V8 found in the TRX. The engine produces 777 horsepower and 680 pound-feet of torque.

According to Ram, the truck can sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 3.4 seconds and complete the quarter-mile in 11.6 seconds at 116 mph.

Ram is also targeting a top speed of 170 mph. Kuniskis said the Rumble Bee SRT has already surpassed the long-standing 154.587-mph record previously set by the Dodge Ram SR10 two decades ago.

Four Rumble Bee Variants Are Planned

Unlike previous street truck programs that focused on a single halo model, Ram plans to offer multiple versions of the Rumble Bee.

  • Rumble Bee – 5.7-liter V8
  • Rumble Bee 392 – 6.4-liter V8
  • Rumble Bee 392 Track Pack
  • Rumble Bee SRT – Supercharged 6.2-liter V8

Kuniskis said the standard Rumble Bee and the 392 are expected to make up the majority of sales volume.

Performance Specs Across the Lineup

Ram 1500 Rumble Bee

The entry-level Rumble Bee uses a 5.7-liter Hemi V8 engine now referred to by Ram as the “Eagle.” It produces 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque.

Ram said the engine does not use the company’s eTorque mild-hybrid system or stop-start technology.

  • 0-60 mph: 6.1 seconds
  • Quarter-mile: 14.6 seconds at 93 mph

Ram 1500 Rumble Bee 392

The Rumble Bee 392 is powered by the 6.4-liter “Apache” V8, producing 470 horsepower and 455 lb-ft of torque.

It shares the same eight-speed 8HP75 automatic transmission used in the standard Rumble Bee.

  • 0-60 mph: 5.2 seconds
  • Quarter-mile: 13.2 seconds at 101 mph

Ram 1500 Rumble Bee SRT

The range-topping SRT uses the stronger 8HP95 gearbox and delivers the quickest acceleration figures in the lineup.

  • 0-60 mph: 3.4 seconds
  • Quarter-mile: 11.6 seconds at 116 mph

Track Pack Adds Drag-Racing Features

Every Ram 1500 Rumble Bee comes equipped with a Borg-Warner 48-11 transfer case featuring a front-axle disconnect. Drivers can send all power to the rear wheels using a dashboard button.

Ram also plans to offer an optional asymmetrical limited-slip differential designed to improve handling.

The 392 Track Pack introduces a system called E-Spool, engineered specifically for drag race launches and burnouts. Ram said the setup electronically locks the rear axle and distributes torque between both rear tires.

Despite its performance focus, the truck maintains practical capability with a maximum towing capacity of 8,890 pounds and a payload rating of 1,160 pounds.

Shorter, Wider, And Built For Stability

Ram gave the Rumble Bee a unique street-truck configuration by pairing a smaller Quad Cab with a short bed.

The truck measures 219.5 inches long, making it 13 inches shorter than standard configurations. Engineers reportedly had to shorten multiple components, including the driveshaft, brake lines, fuel lines, and wiring harnesses.

According to Ram, the reduced length improved rigidity while the wider stance increased stability.

  • Total width: 88 inches
  • Front track increase: 6.8 inches wider
  • Rear track increase: 7.0 inches wider

An available air suspension system can lower the truck by an additional 1.5 inches.

Aggressive Styling With Functional Aero Upgrades

The Ram 1500 Rumble Bee features a redesigned front fascia with oversized openings aimed at improving cooling and downforce.

A massive 4.5-inch front splitter sits at the front, while brake-cooling vents and smaller mirrors mounted on shorter arms contribute to a claimed drag coefficient of 0.357.

At the rear, the truck includes a large tailgate spoiler that can work alongside an available hardtop tonneau cover to improve stability during track driving.

The 392 Track Pack and SRT models ride on massive 325-millimeter-wide tires mounted on 22-by-12-inch wheels. Behind them are 16.1-inch front rotors and six-piston Brembo brakes.

Inside The Ram 1500 Rumble Bee

Inside the cabin, the Rumble Bee adds unique branding along with a flat-bottom steering wheel and aluminum paddle shifters.

Ram will offer three infotainment screen sizes, including an available 14.5-inch display.

The truck can also be equipped with a premium Harman Kardon audio system featuring 19 speakers and a 10-inch subwoofer.

2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee Release Date And Pricing

The 2027 Ram 1500 Rumble Bee is scheduled to go on sale in late 2026.

Ram said the Rumble Bee 392 and the Rumble Bee SRT will arrive during the first half of 2027.

The automaker has not announced official pricing. However, expectations place the Rumble Bee SRT near the price of the 2027 TRX, which starts at $102,290.

Ram expects the standard Rumble Bee and the 392 models to account for the bulk of total sales, signaling that the company sees muscle trucks becoming far more than a limited-production performance experiment.
