Toyota Enhances the GRMN Corolla for Track-Focused Performance
The 2026 GRMN Corolla retains its turbocharged 1.6-liter three-cylinder engine, producing 300 horsepower. Torque increases to 302 lb-ft, with power delivered through a close-ratio six-speed manual transmission.
Toyota has equipped the model with a range of performance upgrades, including a sub-radiator, intercooler spray, revised steering, an updated GR-FOUR all-wheel-drive system, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires, and a suspension specifically tuned for the GRMN.
Weight reduction also plays a major role in the package. Carbon-fiber components include the hood, fenders, side spoilers, and a large adjustable rear wing, all designed to improve performance.
Interior Prioritizes the Driving Experience
Inside, the GRMN Corolla adopts a driver-focused layout. Toyota removes the rear seats, making the vehicle a two-seater.
The cabin features exclusive semi-bucket seats, carbon-fiber trim, Morizo’s autograph on the dashboard, a numbered plaque, and an interior designed with an emphasis on performance.
Limited Production and Premium Pricing
With a starting price of $64,360, the 2026 GRMN Corolla occupies a significantly higher price point than previous Corolla models. The price also places it within approximately $4,000 of the BMW M2.
Toyota says the GRMN Corolla combines limited production, Nürburgring development, and racing-derived hardware to create what it describes as the ultimate version of the GR Corolla. With only 730 examples planned worldwide, the model is aimed at collectors and dedicated driving enthusiasts.
