Leaked Order Guide Details 2027 Ford F-150 Changes
According to the leaked order guide shared by F-150gen14, the standard 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 engine will be discontinued for the 2027 model year. It will be replaced by a new 3.0-liter EcoBoost V6.
Output figures for the new engine have not been disclosed. The outgoing 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 produces 325 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque, while the new 3.0-liter engine is expected to deliver slightly more power.
The guide also indicates that the 5.0-liter V8 will become available on King Ranch and Platinum trims. Those models are currently offered only with the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6 and the 3.5-liter PowerBoost hybrid. The naturally aspirated V8 produces 400 horsepower and 410 lb-ft of torque.
No additional engine revisions are listed, although the leaked guide notes that a front axle with a Torsen differential will be available as a new option on the Tremor model.
Three New Exterior Colors Arrive for 2027
The leaked document shows the 2027 Ford F-150 will receive three new exterior paint options:
- Birch Sand
- Neptune Blue
- Wild Green
These colors will replace Antimatter Blue, Argon Blue, and Avalanche. No interior color updates are mentioned.
Four New Packages Expand Customization
The order guide lists four new packages for the 2027 model year:
- FX4 Off-Road Package for STX
- Lariat Chrome Appearance Package for Lariat
- F-150 Lobo Package for STX
- Platinum Satin Appearance Package for Platinum
The FX4 Off-Road Package requires four-wheel drive and adds hill descent control, off-road-tuned front shocks, monotube rear shocks, rock crawl mode, skid plates, and an electronic-locking rear axle.
The Lariat Chrome Appearance Package adds chrome-finished bumpers, mirrors, door handles, and exhaust trim.
The F-150 Lobo Package brings several styling elements from the Lobo trim to the STX, including 22-inch wheels, a dual exhaust system, and a lower ride height.
The Platinum Satin Appearance Package introduces satin-finished exterior trim to give the Platinum model a more upscale appearance.
Competition Continues to Intensify
The report notes that the Ford F-150 is due for an update as competitors strengthen their truck lineups. Ram has expanded its 2027 1500 lineup with V8-powered models, while the 2027 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is preparing to enter a new generation.
