Ram has introduced a new Direct Connection supercharger kit for the Ram 1500 Rumble Bee SRT, raising output from 777 horsepower to more than 900 horsepower. The announcement comes just weeks after Shelby American launched the 2026 Shelby F-150 Super Snake SuperCrew, setting up a new comparison in the street truck segment focused on factory-backed performance and value.
Direct Connection Supercharger Delivers More Than 900 Horsepower
The centerpiece of Ram’s latest performance lineup is a 3.0-liter twin-screw Direct Connection supercharger. The upgrade replaces the standard blower with a larger unit that includes a large air-to-water intercooler and an upgraded coolant pump designed to improve cooling under demanding conditions.
According to Ram, the Direct Connection supercharger boosts the Ram 1500 Rumble Bee SRT to more than 900 horsepower. Under the hood, the package is identified by a bright Rumble Bee Yellow supercharger cover.
The installation is performed by an ASE-certified Mopar technician, and the upgrade retains the vehicle’s five-year, 60,000-mile powertrain warranty.
Performance Upgrades Expand Across the Rumble Bee Lineup
Ram said the Direct Connection supercharger will not be limited to the Rumble Bee SRT. Versions will also be offered across the broader Rumble Bee lineup.
- The 5.7-liter HEMI Rumble Bee increases to more than 600 horsepower.
- The 392 and 392 Track Pack models exceed 700 horsepower.
- Each supercharger kit starts at $10,995 before installation.
Ram also confirmed that the 3.0-liter supercharger will be available for the Ram TRX, increasing output to more than 900 horsepower.
Direct Connection Catalog Adds Exhaust, Suspension, and Styling Options
Beyond the supercharger upgrades, Ram expanded its Direct Connection catalog with additional factory-backed performance and appearance components.
Magnaflow cat-back exhaust systems feature stainless steel three-inch pipes and black chrome five-inch exhaust tips carrying Direct Connection logos. Pricing starts at $1,599 for the base Rumble Bee and reaches $2,399 for the Rumble Bee SRT.
Ram also introduced a Ridetech suspension kit for coil-spring Rumble Bee and 392 models. The package lowers the truck by one inch in the front and three inches in the rear while adding 24-way adjustable coilovers and upgraded control arms. Ram said the suspension improves handling without compromising everyday drivability. The kit is priced at $4,590 before installation.
Owners can also choose Direct Connection graphics finished in low-gloss black with accent colors matched to each engine configuration.
Ram Undercuts Shelby on Price
Ram said a 2027 Rumble Bee SRT equipped with the Direct Connection supercharger is priced at $105,990 before fees and installation. According to the company, that is approximately $35,000 less than Shelby’s latest street truck while offering more than 900 horsepower.
By comparison, the 2026 Shelby F-150 Super Snake SuperCrew starts at $140,795 and produces more than 810 horsepower from its Stage 2 supercharged 5.0-liter V8. Shelby positions the truck with exclusive production limited to 400 units, along with premium interior appointments and signature styling.
The latest announcements position both trucks as high-performance street pickups, with Ram emphasizing higher horsepower, factory-backed warranty coverage, and a lower starting price, while Shelby highlights exclusivity and limited production.
