The 2027 Chrysler Pacifica has debuted with updated styling that Chrysler says previews the next generation of the brand’s vehicles. As Chrysler’s only remaining model, the refreshed minivan also receives several feature changes while simplifying its powertrain lineup.
Updated Styling Signals Chrysler’s Future
The 2027 Chrysler Pacifica introduces a redesigned front end featuring new lighting and a revised grille that Chrysler says previews the next generation of its vehicles.
The Pacifica is now the only model in Chrysler’s lineup after the Voyager was renamed the Pacifica LX and the Chrysler 300 was discontinued in 2023. Aside from the updated front-end design, the remaining changes for 2027 are relatively modest.
V6 Powertrain Becomes the Only Option
For 2027, Chrysler has discontinued the plug-in hybrid powertrain. Buyers now have a single engine choice: a 3.6-liter V6 producing 287 horsepower, available with front-wheel drive or optional all-wheel drive.
The company has also separated the Family Tech Group package, priced at $1,495, from the Theatre Group package, priced at $1,395, allowing customers to purchase them independently.
Additional updates include a new Blue Agave Nappa leather interior for the Pinnacle trim and an Enhanced Safety Sphere Package that now adds a turn signal camera view.
Long-Distance Driving Highlights Key Strengths
During a drive from Chrysler’s media event in Vermont to New Jersey, covering approximately 500 miles across five states, the Pacifica proved to be a comfortable highway companion.
The report states that the minivan is quieter than the Toyota Sienna at highway speeds and slightly more comfortable than both the Kia Carnival and Honda Odyssey. It also notes that the discontinued plug-in hybrid was not missed on a journey of that length because its 30-mile electric range would have been depleted quickly.
Features That Continue to Stand Out
Although the Pacifica no longer feels like the newest minivan in the segment, it retains several features highlighted as key advantages:
- Stow ‘n Go seating allows second-row seats to fold into the floor, creating more than 140 cubic feet of cargo space.
- Available rear entertainment screens include built-in Fire TV functionality.
- Family-focused features include the rear interior FamCam and an integrated vacuum cleaner.
Chrysler’s Future Product Plans
During Stellantis Investor Day, the company previewed future products across its brands, including Chrysler.
According to the report, a new Pacifica or another minivan is expected after 2030, alongside three upcoming crossover models.
The first is expected to carry the Airflow name, previously used on a concept Chrysler has previewed since 2022. Originally planned as an all-electric vehicle, it is now expected to offer hybrid powertrain options as well.
Two additional covered vehicles, identified as the Arrow and Arrow Cross, were also previewed. According to the report, both are expected to start below $30,000 and compete with compact crossovers such as the Toyota RAV4.
Minivan Remains Central to Chrysler’s Lineup
The Pacifica has served as Chrysler’s flagship model since its introduction in 2017, and it remains the brand’s sole production vehicle following recent lineup changes.
With updated styling, revised equipment packages, and a simplified powertrain lineup, the 2027 Chrysler Pacifica continues to anchor the brand while Chrysler prepares to expand its portfolio with future crossover models.
