The Lamborghini Revuelto SV is set to revive the Super Veloce name, and Lamborghini has released another teaser ahead of its unveiling this Friday during Monterey Car Week. The latest images show two angles of the winged supercar and reveal several physical changes compared with the regular Revuelto.
Lamborghini Revuelto SV Gets Aggressive Aero
The latest teaser shows much more angular front strakes, with a design reminiscent of the hardcore Huracán STO. The lower side intakes have also been revised, replacing the open, squared openings of the standard Revuelto with carbon-fiber elements that divide the intakes in two.
Those carbon-fiber elements extend rearward toward the wheel arch, while the rest of the Revuelto SV’s aerodynamic package is expected to receive extensive changes.
The front view also provides a clearer look at the triangular openings beneath the headlights. However, the most prominent feature from this angle is the enormous rear wing.
Revuelto SV Keeps Its Huge Rear Wing
The rear wing features channels cut into both sides. These are designed to help air moving over the rear haunches travel faster than the air passing over the center of the car and its double-bubble roof.
That airflow increases the low-pressure effects of the wake created by the car, helping keep the supercar planted. This doubtless helped the Revuelto SV claim its recent Hockenheimring lap record, although the imposing wing is also likely to be appreciated for its visual impact.
More Power Expected From the V12 Hybrid
The Revuelto SV is also expected to deliver increased output. Rumors point to the 6.5-liter naturally aspirated V12 hybrid powertrain producing 1,065 horsepower, up from 1,001 hp in the regular Revuelto.
Other reports have claimed figures between 1,200 and 1,400 hp. An increase of some kind is therefore expected, while the Aventador made 690 hp, the Aventador SV produced 750 hp and the Aventador SVJ reached 759 hp.
Patent Images Show More Revuelto SV Details
Patent images discovered by The Supercar Blog have already revealed much of the Revuelto SV’s appearance, although the production car is expected to make a greater visual impact.
The patent sketches show a body that remains largely unchanged apart from the front bumper. The rear diffuser appears very similar to the one on the regular Revuelto, while centerlock wheels, like those used on the Huracán STO, and the large rear wing are among the most obvious differences.
The engine cover also appears unchanged in the patent images. What remains unclear is whether the regular Revuelto’s adaptive rear wing will continue to operate on the SV.
However, sightings at the Nürburgring appear to indicate that the Revuelto SV will use a fixed rear wing, eliminating the need for additional downforce at speed.
More details about the Lamborghini Revuelto SV are expected when the car is unveiled on Friday the 14th.
