The Ford Maverick is reportedly getting significant price cuts for the 2027 model year, with several trims becoming less expensive amid a series of changes to the lineup. According to auto pricing guide CarsDirect, the sporty Maverick Lobo will start $3,775 below its 2026 price, while the off-road-oriented Tremor will also receive a substantial reduction.

2027 Ford Maverick Lobo Gets $3,775 Price Cut

According to CarsDirect, the 2027 Maverick Lobo will start at $32,155, representing a $3,775 decrease from the 2026 model. If the destination charge remains $1,845, the truck will cost $34,000 before options.

The comprehensively equipped Lobo High package will add exactly $5,000 to the starting price, bringing the total to $37,155. That is $4,270 less than the corresponding 2026 model.

The pricing for the 2027 GTI has not yet been released. For the 2026 model year, however, the hot hatch started at $35,865.

Maverick Tremor Also Gets Cheaper

The Lobo is not the only Maverick trim receiving a price reduction for 2027. The off-road-oriented Maverick Tremor will start at $37,155, a $3,490 decrease from its immediate predecessor.

That price is the same as the 2027 Lobo High package, but the two trucks take very different approaches. Both feature all-wheel drive with a twin-clutch rear differential, while the Tremor uses lifted suspension and softer springs for rough-road performance.

The lower, stiffer Lobo, by comparison, is designed around paved performance and can be used for autocross driving.

Ford Maverick Could Get a 300-HP Upgrade

Buyers looking to put some of the savings toward performance can consider the Ford Custom Garage SV300T package. The package brings the turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine to 300 horsepower, which is 50 horsepower above stock, while also adding corresponding suspension and driveline tuning improvements.

Pricing for the SV300T package has not yet been announced, but it is anticipated to cost around $5,000.

XL and Lariat Trims Go Hybrid-Only

The 2027 Maverick lineup will also bring a major powertrain change for the XL and Lariat trims. Both will lose the 250-horsepower EcoBoost inline-four and will be offered exclusively as hybrids starting with the 2027 model year.

The starting prices for those trims will remain in line with the current model year. The gas-electric Maverick produces 184 horsepower and offers a towing capacity of up to 4,000 pounds, while fuel economy exceeds 36 miles per gallon combined.

EcoBoost Remains Available on the XLT

The EcoBoost turbocharged four-cylinder engine will continue to be available on the XLT trim, as well as being standard on the Lobo and Tremor. For 2027, the EcoBoost-equipped XLT will start at $30,745 before destination and handling, making it $100 more expensive than the previous model year.

Ford has been asked to confirm the 2027 Maverick’s price changes, including both increases and decreases. The pricing information will be updated once the automaker responds.

What the 2027 Maverick Changes Mean

The reported 2027 pricing marks a notable shift for several Maverick trims, with the Lobo and Tremor receiving meaningful reductions while the XL and Lariat move exclusively to hybrid power. The sporty Lobo, off-road Tremor and efficient hybrid models will continue to offer distinct approaches within the Maverick lineup.
