A Pagani Huayra owner is gaining attention after reaching more than 62,000 miles in his personal hypercar, a remarkable milestone for a vehicle that cost more than $1 million when new and is often associated with low-mileage collections.
The achievement challenges the idea of the “Garage Queen,” a term commonly used for rare and expensive performance cars that are carefully preserved rather than regularly driven.
Pagani Huayra Reaches 62,000 Miles
Pagani is widely regarded as an engineering-focused automaker, combining close attention to detail with the desirability and styling expected of a true hypercar. Its vehicles are among the most expensive cars on the market.
The Huayra succeeded the Zonda and features technology including active aerodynamics. Now, one owner is demonstrating just how extensively the hypercar can be driven.
An owner known as 1slocrx on Instagram shared that his personal Pagani Huayra had surpassed 62,000 miles, or 100,000 kilometers.
Given that the Huayra cost more than $1 million when new, accumulating that level of mileage represents a significant achievement and highlights how extensively the owner has used the car.
A Simple Celebration for a Major Milestone
The owner marked the 62,000-mile milestone by stopping for a bottle of Fiji water and a Twix bar.
His post also suggested that he has no plans to stop driving the Huayra. The owner’s next stated target is 100,000 miles, which could potentially make the vehicle the highest-mileage owner-driven Huayra.
High-Mileage Hypercars Challenge the “Garage Queen” Culture
Many supercars and hypercars spend limited time on the road, with owners often protecting them from the demands of frequent driving. Expensive, high-performance vehicles are sometimes viewed as too fragile for regular use.
However, some owners continue to demonstrate that these cars can accumulate substantial mileage. Some high-performance manufacturers are also increasingly emphasizing the reliability and engineering of their vehicles.
Mate Rimac Shares His Own Mileage Achievements
Bugatti and Rimac CEO Mate Rimac has also publicly highlighted significant mileage accumulated in vehicles produced by his companies.
Rimac said he had driven a Chiron for 109,361 miles and logged 41,000 miles in a developmental unit of Rimac’s new Nevera EV hypercar.
The high-mileage Pagani Huayra adds another example of an ultra-high-performance car being driven extensively rather than remaining permanently stored, with its owner now setting his sights on the 100,000-mile mark.
