The 2027 Lexus IS is staying in production after its major 2026 refresh, with Lexus adding a limited-run Special Appearance Package to the sports sedan. Based on the IS 350 F SPORT, the new edition brings an exclusive Envious green finish, black accents and additional equipment while retaining the naturally aspirated V6.
New Special Appearance Package Debuts in Miami
Lexus has continued introducing special editions for the IS since 2022, giving the sedan a new exclusive version each year without changing its core formula. The 2027 Special Appearance Package continues that tradition and debuted at the grand finale of the IS 25th Legacy Tour in Miami.
The limited edition marks another milestone for a nameplate that has been around for a quarter-century.
Envious Green Gives the IS a New Look
The most distinctive feature of the Special Appearance Package is its new Envious paint, a deep satin green finish that gives the sedan a different appearance from the usual grayscale colors. Gloss-black accents add to the darker exterior look.
The package is based on the IS 350 F SPORT, which brings its aggressive body kit and oversized grille. Lexus also adds 19-inch black forged BBS wheels, complementing the green exterior and F SPORT design elements.
Inside, the cabin remains predominantly black but receives several unique details. The seats feature black NuLuxe with Ultrasuede inserts, while green stitching extends across the seats, dashboard, console and doors. Satin chrome trim also replaces some of the darker interior elements.
2027 Lexus IS Keeps Its Naturally Aspirated V6
Under the hood, the 2027 Lexus IS continues with a naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V6 producing 311 horsepower and 280 lb-ft of torque.
Rear-wheel-drive models continue with an eight-speed automatic transmission, while all-wheel-drive versions retain a six-speed automatic.
Because the Special Appearance Package is based on the IS 350 F SPORT, the Handling Package comes standard. It includes Adaptive Variable Suspension, multiple drive modes and a Torsen limited-slip differential on rear-wheel-drive models.
Special Edition Adds Extensive Standard Equipment
The equipment list goes beyond the appearance upgrades. Lexus includes the Technology Package, which brings Traffic Jam Assist, Lane Change Assist and Front Cross-Traffic Alert.
The Special Appearance Package also includes Triple Beam LED headlights, a moonroof, panoramic view monitor, parking assist, a power rear sunshade, Mark Levinson audio and a Smart Access Key Card.
Lexus says the Special Appearance Package will arrive at dealerships later this year, but production will be limited to 350 units for North America. Pricing has not yet been announced.

The 2027 model arrives as rumors continue about a significantly different future for the Lexus IS. According to the source, the next-generation IS is rumored to abandon gasoline power and return as a fully electric sports sedan.
Lexus has been expanding its EV lineup around the world, and the IS is expected to be part of that shift.
