The final Toyota Supra A90 is heading to auction, giving collectors a chance to own the last example of the fifth-generation sports car. Toyota is repeating the charity-auction approach it used when the A90 Supra debuted seven years ago, but this time, the final car comes with every major improvement made throughout the model’s life.
A Special VIN and One-Off Phantom Grey Finish
The final A90 Supra already carries historical significance, but Toyota added several details to make the car even more distinctive. It is finished in Phantom Grey, a matte paint color that is not available on any other 2026 Supra, including the standard model and Final Edition.
Toyota also modified the VIN so it does not correspond with the car’s sequential production number. Instead, it ends in 99999, clearly identifying the vehicle as the final example. The engine cover has also been signed by Toyota Chairman Akio “Morizo” Toyoda.
The car is a fully equipped Final Edition, bringing carbon fiber rear spoiler, front “spats,” adaptive shocks, larger brakes and forged wheels. Toyota chose the six-speed manual transmission for this particular car instead of the eight-speed automatic.
The final Supra also receives the GT4 Style Pack, which includes contrasting red mirror caps, GR side decals and a “wind-buffeting kit.”
Barrett-Jackson to Auction the Final Supra
Barrett-Jackson will auction the final A90 Supra, just as it did with the first example in 2019. Proceeds from the latest auction will benefit Reach Out WorldWide, an organization founded by the late actor Paul Walker. His brother, Cody Walker, is the organization’s current CEO.
Reach Out WorldWide organizes groups of first responders and construction workers who travel to disaster areas to assist with recovery efforts.
The car will cross the block at Barrett-Jackson’s auction in Arizona, which runs from January 23 to 31. The first A90 Supra sold for $2.1 million, setting a significant benchmark for the final car.
Whatever the final auction price, it is expected to be far above the roughly $73,000 price of an equivalent Supra Final Edition.
Why the Final A90 Supra Is More Significant
The final Supra benefits from the improvements Toyota introduced throughout the A90’s lifespan. Among the most important was the addition of a manual transmission, with the six-speed arriving for the 2023 model year, roughly halfway through the car’s life.
Toyota also significantly increased the output of the six-cylinder Supra. Launch models produced 335 horsepower and 365 pound-feet of torque. One model year later, those figures increased to 382 hp and 368 lb-ft.
That means the final car combines its status as the last A90 Supra with the upgrades Toyota introduced over the model’s lifespan.
Toyota’s Sports Car Lineup Is Changing
Toyota has been saying farewell to several sporty cars over the past year or two. Along with the Supra, the Lexus LC and RC have been discontinued.
However, the company is not abandoning sporty cars. At the high end, Toyota is launching the GR GT twin-turbo V8 coupe and its electric Lexus LFA counterpart. A Celica also appears to be on the way, while rumors have circulated about a sixth-generation Supra that would not use a BMW-sourced chassis and powertrain.
The final A90 Supra now heads to the Barrett-Jackson auction as a fully equipped Final Edition and the last example of its generation, combining the model’s most significant updates with a unique finish, special VIN and charity-auction status.
