The 2027 Corvette Grand Sport offers buyers a wide range of colors, but new order data shows one shade has emerged as the clear favorite. Admiral Blue leads all other choices, while Arctic White holds the No. 2 position among Grand Sport buyers.
Admiral Blue Leads Corvette Grand Sport Orders
When Chevrolet launched the Corvette in 1953, buyers had only one color option: Polo White. Seventy-three years later, the Corvette lineup offers a much broader selection, but Grand Sport customers are showing a strong preference for a color closely associated with the model.
According to data compiled by Corvette Blogger from the ‘Vette Tracker app and GM Build Counts, Admiral Blue, paint code GTR, is the most popular color among the 2,652 Grand Sport cars built so far.
A total of 837 Grand Sport models have been finished in Admiral Blue. Arctic White, paint code G8G, ranks second with 504 orders.
Black and Pitch Gray take the third and fourth spots, respectively, while Torch Red and Red Mist rank fifth and sixth.
Combined, the two red colors would be enough to reach third place. However, combining the two silver colors would change that comparison, so the individual color rankings remain the focus.
The data does not show how many Admiral Blue buyers selected the Grand Sport Heritage Graphics package, which adds the iconic hash marks above the rear wheels. The package is available in several colors, while the source notes that a Blue Grand Sport would require red stripes under that configuration.
At the bottom of the list are Sebring Orange with 78 orders and Competition Yellow with 63. Roswell Green has the lowest take rate, with just 50 orders.
Grand Sport Coupe and Convertible Orders
Grand Sport buyers are choosing coupes slightly more often than convertibles. The hardtop accounts for 1,454 purchases, while 1,198 buyers have chosen the convertible.
Both groups are also favoring higher equipment levels. The 3LT is the most common configuration, while the 1LT trails far behind.
Z52 Performance Package Remains Rare
Only 35 coupe buyers and 17 convertible buyers have selected the Z52 Track Performance package. Priced at $20,695, the package includes carbon ceramic brakes, Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R tires and more.
The Z52 Sport Performance package has been significantly more popular. It has been selected by 620 coupe buyers and 503 convertible buyers.
The Sport Performance package costs $3,500 and includes less aggressive Pilot Sport 4S tires along with lower-priced metal Brembo brakes.
How the Grand Sport Compares With Other C8 Models
The Grand Sport is also attracting a significant share of C8 buyers. The site reports that 35% of buyers are choosing what it describes as the “sweet spot” C8.
The model combines the look and handling upgrades of the Z06 with the engine of the standard Stingray. That engine is a new 6.7-liter V8 producing 535 horsepower.
Compared with the 670-hp 5.5-liter engine in the Z06, the difference in output is accompanied by a price gap of about $35,000.
For now, Admiral Blue remains the leading color choice among 2027 Corvette Grand Sport buyers, with Arctic White following in second place as order data continues to show how customers are configuring the newest addition to the C8 Corvette lineup.
