A 1990 Monte Carlo Automotive (MCA) Centenaire, one of only five produced, will be offered at Broad Arrow Auctions’ second annual Zoute Concours Auction in Belgium on October 9, 2026. The first Centenaire ever built is estimated to sell for between $967,000 and $1,290,000.
The First MCA Centenaire
The car is the first Centenaire ever produced, according to a letter from MCA representative Matteo Ramello. It retains its original chassis and was also the first model used for development, testing and presentation.
Broad Arrow Auctions describes the car as the “first road-going production car fitted with a carbon [fiber] chassis.” After its development and presentation work, the car was designated EL0002 and remained at the Lamborghini factory in Sant’Agata Bolognese for about 10 years.
In the early 2000s, the car was gifted to MCA founder Fulvio Ballabio. It later passed through additional owners, including its current owner and consignor in France, who acquired it in 2014.
Lamborghini V12 Power
The Centenaire is currently finished in its factory Ivory White color with a bright red leather interior, a combination chosen to reflect the colors of Monaco.
The car also carries a Lamborghini logo on its side because it is powered by a 5.2-liter V12 engine, the same engine used in the Lamborghini Countach 5000QV.
According to its history and Broad Arrow’s report, the engine produces 455 horsepower and is paired with a six-speed manual transmission from ZF.
The Lamborghini connection goes beyond the engine itself. Documentation for the car includes a copy of the contract between Lamborghini and Fulvio Ballabio covering the supply of V12 engines for the Centenaire.
From Blue to Its Original Ivory White
Around 2007, the car was refinished in blue and displayed at Rétromobile that year. It later changed hands with its current owner and consignor in France in 2014.
About two years later, the Centenaire was restored and repainted in its original Ivory White color.
Broad Arrow Zoute Concours Auction
The MCA Centenaire will be offered at the second annual Broad Arrow Zoute Concours Auction, held in collaboration with Zoute Grand Prix Car Week. The auction will take place at the Approach Golf in Knokke-Heist, Belgium, on October 9, 2026.
Broad Arrow Auctions has placed an estimate of $967,000 to $1,290,000 on the rare MCA. Its complete documentation includes what Broad Arrow describes as a “vast history file,” further detailing the car’s connection to Lamborghini and its development history.
With only five Centenaires in existence and this example being the first one produced, the 1990 MCA Centenaire will enter the auction with an estimated value reaching $1,290,000.
