The 2027 Chevrolet Trailblazer is getting a new name and higher pricing as Chevrolet prepares to sell the SUV as the Trailblazer Limited. The change follows reports that the 2027 model could have an unusually short three-month production run.
GM Confirms the Trailblazer Limited Name
A spokesperson for General Motors confirmed to CarsDirect that the 2027 model will carry the Trailblazer Limited name. GM did not provide details about its future product plans, while the latest dealer ordering guides obtained by the publication show higher prices across the lineup.
The new name appears to apply across the entire Trailblazer lineup, although Chevrolet has not explained why the Limited designation is being introduced.
2027 Trailblazer Limited Pricing
Pricing increases by $300 for the LS, LT and RS front-wheel-drive trims, while the ACTIV sees a much larger increase for 2027.
- LS FWD: $23,600, up $300 from $23,300
- LT FWD: $24,800, up $300 from $24,500
- RS FWD: $28,200, up $300 from $27,900
- ACTIV AWD: $31,400, up $1,900 from $29,500
Those prices do not include the destination charge, which is $1,795 for the outgoing model year. All-wheel drive adds another $2,000 to the LS and LT trims, while the RS requires an additional $1,600 for AWD.
ACTIV Trim Gets the Biggest Price Increase
The ACTIV trim receives the largest price increase for 2027. It will be offered exclusively with all-wheel drive and will include the Driver Confidence and Convenience Package as standard equipment.
The additional standard equipment accounts for the substantial increase compared with the previous model year.
Is the Trailblazer Limited a Placeholder?
The new Trailblazer Limited name has raised questions about Chevrolet’s plans for the small crossover. GM has not disclosed what comes next, but the rumor mill suggests the Trailblazer Limited could serve as a stopgap before a full redesign.
The next-generation Trailblazer could reportedly arrive for 2029, although nothing is official. That possibility would also fit with the reported three-month production run for the 2027 model.
