The 2027 Jeep Gladiator brings a series of updates across its lineup, including new standard features, revised trim levels, upgraded accessories and an optional 35-inch tire package designed to improve off-road capability. However, the changes come with a significant price increase, as the new Sport S base model starts at $42,100, putting every version of the midsize pickup above $40,000.
2027 Jeep Gladiator Trim Levels and Changes
The 2027 Jeep Gladiator lineup now includes eight trim levels, starting with the new Sport S and extending to the Rubicon X. The range also includes the special-edition Rewind, while several existing trims receive additional equipment and updated styling.
- Sport S (new base trim)
- Sahara
- Willys
- Rewind (special edition)
- Mojave
- Mojave X
- Rubicon
- Rubicon X
Each trim receives a different combination of features, ranging from updated interior equipment and exterior styling to additional cargo management options and off-road accessories.
What’s New on the 2027 Jeep Gladiator Sport S?
The Sport S replaces the previous Sport model as the entry-level Gladiator. Standard equipment includes a seven-inch TFT color instrument cluster, passive entry, all-terrain tires and 17-inch machined aluminum wheels.
Although it becomes the new base trim, the Sport S carries a higher starting price than its predecessor, reflecting the broader price increase across the 2027 lineup.
Sahara Adds New Exterior Features
The Sahara sits above the Sport S in the lineup and receives a new vented power dome hood and side steps.
Buyers can also select the 20-inch Premium Wheel Package, which adds machined 20-inch wheels fitted with all-terrain tires, heavy-duty Dana 44 axles and a Trac-Lok limited-slip rear differential.
Jeep Gladiator Willys and Rewind Updates
The 2027 Gladiator Willys now comes standard with a black hardtop. Its other major update is the availability of the limited 35-inch Tire Package, which expands access to the larger tires introduced for the new model year.
The special-edition Gladiator Rewind receives no major changes. It retains its nostalgic neon paintwork and graphics, along with Iced Blue and Plum interior accents.
2027 Gladiator Mojave Gets More Standard Equipment
The Mojave receives several upgrades for 2027, including body-color fender flares, heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, a standard body-color hardtop and embedded navigation.
Buyers can also choose the Jeep Performance Parts Mojave, which adds Mopar accessories. These include a triple-hoop grille guard, a cold-air intake and Camel Katzkin leather seats featuring Terracotta stitching.
The updates give the Mojave additional standard equipment while preserving the availability of specialized accessories for buyers seeking a more customized truck.
Mojave X and Rubicon X Add Cargo Management Features
The 2027 Gladiator Mojave X now comes standard with a cargo management package designed to expand storage and utility options.
The package includes a 115V bed power outlet, a roll-up tonneau cover, a lockable and removable rear underseat storage bin, and a bed-mounted Trail Rail System.
The Rubicon X receives the same cargo management system as the Mojave X, adding the package to another model in the Gladiator lineup.
Jeep Gladiator Rubicon Gains Comfort and Styling Upgrades
The standard Rubicon receives several of the same upgrades introduced on the Mojave. Heated front seats and a heated steering wheel are among the additions, while body-color fender flares and a black hardtop come standard on the exterior.
These changes add comfort and updated styling to the Rubicon while maintaining its position in the Gladiator range.
Gladiator Altitude and High Altitude Editions Return
Jeep has also updated special-edition models based on existing Gladiator trims. The Gladiator Altitude, based on the Sport S, adds 20-inch wheels, wide-track Dana 44 heavy-duty axles, a limited-slip differential and dark exterior accents.
The Gladiator High Altitude returns as an enhanced version of the Sahara. It includes the regular Altitude’s updates, along with body-color bumpers and door handles and Nappa leather seats.
The 2027 Gladiator’s extensive exterior color palette also expands with two new additions: Ghost and Limited Edition Gum 31.
2027 Jeep Gladiator Pricing
The 2027 Jeep Gladiator starts at $42,100 for the Sport S, an increase of more than $2,000 compared with the 2026 Gladiator Sport, which had a starting price of $39,820.
Every trim in the new lineup now costs more than $40,000. Pricing across the range is as follows:
- Sport S: $42,100
- Sahara: $48,400
- Willys: $47,445
- Rewind: $51,540
- Mojave: $56,200
- Rubicon: $55,700
- Mojave X: $63,295
- Rubicon X: $64,995
Despite the changes to equipment and trim levels, all 2027 Jeep Gladiator models continue to use a 3.6-liter V6 engine producing 285 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
The 2027 Jeep Gladiator is available to order now.
How the Jeep Gladiator Compares With Other Midsize Trucks
The Gladiator’s off-road capabilities come with a higher starting price than several competing midsize pickups. The Toyota Tacoma, the best-selling vehicle in the segment, starts at $34,950 in Double Cab configuration.
The Tacoma does not include four-wheel drive as standard, but adding the $3,200 option still leaves its starting price well below the Gladiator’s. In XtraCab configuration, the Tacoma starts at $32,545, making it almost $10,000 cheaper than the Jeep.
The Toyota also features a 2.4-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that is more efficient than the Gladiator’s V6 and offers a more refined daily-driving experience. The Gladiator has the advantage in standard off-road capability, but it is less comfortable to drive on regular roads.
Chevrolet Colorado Offers Another Lower-Cost Alternative
The Chevrolet Colorado is another alternative for buyers comparing midsize pickups. For approximately the price of a base Gladiator, buyers can get a Colorado Trail Boss equipped with off-road suspension and a two-inch suspension lift.
The Colorado Trail Boss also features a 310-horsepower TurboMax engine, which produces more power than the Gladiator’s V6.
Neither the Toyota Tacoma nor the Chevrolet Colorado offers the Jeep’s combination of distinctive styling, removable doors and customization options. However, both provide alternatives for buyers seeking a midsize pickup without the same price premium and driving compromises associated with the Gladiator.
With updated equipment, additional customization options and a new base trim, the 2027 Jeep Gladiator expands its range of features while raising the entry price for the entire lineup. Buyers can now order the updated truck, with prices ranging from $42,100 for the Sport S to $64,995 for the Rubicon X.
