The Nissan Armada Jungle Patrol is taking the full-size SUV in a radical new direction, with an open-air design, long-travel suspension and rugged off-road equipment. Unveiled for the 2026 SEMA Show, the concept is one of three Nissan truck and SUV builds highlighting new ideas for customization and off-road capability.

Nissan Armada Jungle Patrol Gets an Expedition-Ready Makeover

After unveiling several low-slung SEMA concepts last week, including a 300-horsepower Sentra SE-R Spec-V, Nissan is shifting its focus to taller vehicles designed for challenging terrain.

Inspired by rugged Nissan vehicles that have tackled demanding environments around the world, including the Patrol, the Armada Jungle Patrol is built around an expedition-ready theme.

The concept trades much of the Armada’s conventional SUV styling for an open-air configuration, specialized off-road hardware and a safari-inspired interior.

Open-Air Design and Heavy-Duty Off-Road Equipment

The most dramatic change is the removal of the conventional roof, replaced by a tubular steel roll cage. Inside, custom inward-facing bench seats with harnesses give the cabin the appearance of a traditional safari vehicle.

The exterior features jungle-themed graphics, heavy-duty tubular steel bumpers and aggressive fender flares. NISMO Off Road adds roof-mounted six-inch lights and rock sliders for navigating challenging trails.

Nissan also significantly upgrades the suspension and widens the Armada’s track. The setup includes custom CJD long-travel racing suspension with adjustable high-performance coilovers and remote reservoirs.

The suspension is paired with prototype NISMO 18-inch AXIS beadlock wheels wrapped in 37×12.50R18 Yokohama Geolandar G003 M/T tires.

Nissan Armada Jungle Patrol Keeps Its V6 Power

Under the hood, the concept retains the Armada’s direct-injected 3.5-liter VR35 V6 engine.

The standard powerplant produces 425 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque. Nissan adds a prototype NISMO cat-back exhaust system, while Mobil 1 Extended Performance Oil is also included in the build.

Despite its extensive exterior and suspension modifications, the concept keeps the Armada’s standard engine.

Nissan’s SEMA Concepts Preview Future Customization Ideas

The Armada Jungle Patrol is one of three truck and SUV concepts Nissan prepared for the 2026 SEMA Show.

The builds are intended to inspire owners to personalize their vehicles while allowing Nissan designers and engineers to gather feedback on potential future accessories and product directions.

Nissan also highlighted its upcoming all-new Xterra, signaling that capable trucks and SUVs remain part of its future plans.

None of the three SEMA concepts will enter production in their current form. However, some accessories featured on the builds may eventually become available through dealerships.

Where to See the Nissan Armada Jungle Patrol

The 2026 SEMA Show runs from November 3 to 6 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Visitors can find Nissan’s concepts at booth No. 21521 in Central Hall, where the Armada Jungle Patrol will showcase the automaker’s latest approach to extreme off-road customization.
