The Dodge Durango is expanding its customization options with a new exterior color called Sub-Zero. The $595 option marks the fourth new color introduced for the SUV in four months, giving the V8-powered model another distinctive appearance.
Sub-Zero Expands the Dodge Durango Color Palette
Sub-Zero is a solid blue-gray finish that first appeared on the Charger earlier in 2026. Its appearance changes depending on lighting conditions, looking deep and understated in the shade while revealing a brighter blue effect under direct sunlight.
The new finish also complements the Durango’s available sporty wheels and performance-inspired exterior striping.
“Durango is the muscle SUV that never blends in, and Sub-Zero gives our customers another way to stand out,” said Matt McAlear, Dodge CEO. “Hemi power, attention-getting color and more ways to personalize it from the factory give our customers the freedom to build the Durango they want.”
With the latest addition, the Durango now offers 11 exterior colors. The lineup follows the introduction of Smokescreen last month and After Dark in September.
The other available colors are Redeye, B5 Blue, Destroyer Grey, Green Machine, Night Moves, Pitch Black, Red Oxide, and White Knuckle.
Durango SRT Hellcat Jailbreak Offers More Than 22 Million Configurations
Exterior paint is only one part of the Durango’s extensive personalization program. The Durango SRT Hellcat Jailbreak offers more than 22 million possible configurations, based on the available designs and colors for wheels, brake calipers, seats, stripes, and other features.
A specially configured Durango SRT Hellcat Jailbreak demonstrates the customization possibilities. Its selected exterior options include:
- Green Machine paint: $595
- Flame Red Dual Stripes by Mopar: $1,695
- Yellow SRT Hellcat fender badges: $595
- 20-inch Brass Monkey wheels
- Red brake calipers
The combination creates a bold appearance that stands apart from the predominantly grayscale SUVs commonly found in parking lots. The available customization choices also go beyond what is typically offered on competing three-row SUVs.
Inside, the configuration includes Demonic Red seats for $2,995, Sepia seat belts for $495, and a suede headliner costing $495.
Fully Equipped Durango SRT Hellcat Costs $90,160
The customized Durango SRT Hellcat Jailbreak carries a starting price of $82,490. Adding the selected equipment brings its total price to $90,160.
Although that represents a substantial cost for a non-luxury SUV, the SRT Hellcat comes equipped with a 710-horsepower supercharged V8 engine.
Next-Generation Dodge Durango Not Expected Until 2029
An entirely new Dodge Durango is not expected to debut until 2029. Until then, the current model is expected to receive additional updates and special editions.
The next-generation SUV is expected to meet the latest emissions standards and offer a combination of hybrid and conventional gasoline powertrains. It is also expected to retain its performance advantage over rivals, even with a hybrid option.
Few additional details about the upcoming model have been confirmed. Meanwhile, the current Durango continues to record strong sales over the last two years while expanding its customization options.
